The third and final Indian release of the year is this extended ferment washed lot from Tamil Nadu, in the southern most Indian state. We first cupped this lot with Christian and Shirani in their HQ, our first ever cupping of Indian lots in fact, and safe to say we were pleasantly surprised. This coffee presents with an intense sweetness and a big body, it clings to the palette with assurance, lingering far past the point of consumption. As well as being available as a single origin this coffee also features in our Big Blend, providing sweetness and body in abundance.
The process of exploring Indian lots has been fascinating, we’ve been forced to face our apprehensions and be open to coffee’s we’d almost written off entirely. It has never been such a pleasure to be utterly wrong, and we only wish we had considered these lots sooner.
